Yoga at the Pura Vida Spa in Costa Rica

Tapas Soul Retreat
February 12th-19th, 2011

Tapas is any kind of devoted discipline that brings about internal change and is manifested in the external world. Each day, we will gather together to create community through our yoga practice. We will dig deep into our yoga postures, and look within ourselves with Satya or truthfulness. Often times the emotional and physical stress circulating in our body rises to the surface and we can find a release like no other with emotions ranging from serotonin/endorphin highs to satisfying tears. In addition, immerse yourself in the beauty of the 12-acre estate of tropical splendor in the mountains of Costa Rica.

Join Trish for a week-long escape focused on yoga, journaling and the art of change with truly fantastic off-site excursions. With one to two daily yoga sessions and plenty of time dedicated to renewal, you are destined to have a divine experience! We hope that you will join us for this unforgettable adventure!

About Pura Vida Spa

Pura Vida, meaning Pure Life, is located on a gated 12-acre private estate of the tropical splendor, atop a mountain in Costa Rica's Alajuela province. It is surrounded by coffee plantations, yet surprisingly, only 20 minutes from San Jose's International airport.

Between two continents and two seas, Costa Rica contains an astonishing diversity and abundance of tropical flora and fauna. Caribbean and Pacific beaches border a land filled with white-water rivers, waterfalls, tropical rain forests, active volcanoes, mountain cloud forests, exotic wildlife, and birds.
Located at almost 5,000 feet above sea-level, the year round temperatures at Pura Vida range from 70 to 80 degrees during the day with mild nights in the high 50s to low 60s. The sun rises all year round between 5:30 and 6:00 AM  with sunsets being around 6:00 PM.   It is always a good time to come to Pura Vida!
