What Our Students Are Saying about Yoga and RyJax Training

| Precious gifts |
|
"Ten years ago when I did my first downward dog I did it because I was a seized up athlete who wanted to be more flexible. I used yoga as a stretching routine. I'd do it for awhile and then not do it for months and then get stiff and sore and decide I should do it again.
Two years ago someone in spin class said, "go do yoga with Trish Juli" I liked your spin classes so I showed up to do yoga. It was different - connecting the physical poses to bigger connections ...but I still didn't get it...then I started the work with the horses last year and they opened me up to reveal a lot of sludge and muck in my heart - a divine soul that had been wanting to shine through...then my dad died in Sept. and my heart ripped wide open in a way that screamed "what is important in your life Juli....? My dad and I blew it ....both of us together...our heart connection was deeply distorted and full of anger, resentment and judgement....
So I come to yoga and my heart chakra is opening over and over and over again and I'm feeling all these emotions...sadness, grief, rage, anger, disappointment and emotional PAIN...and through it all I'm starting to see clearer...who I am..who I thought I was and who I can become.
Yoga takes me out of my head and into my cells. It says "let go, "let go, "let go...you are divine perfection the other stuff is all holding...each time my shoulder lets go a little more in downward dog I let go of something in me that has been false...each time I press my heart forward and up in bridge pose I'm offering myself to God and he pours into me love...not judgement, not disappointment, not criticism...LOVE.
My dad gave me the most precious gift that can be given the gift of his life so that I could wake up. I thank him everyday. Namaste."

| Spin to better fitness |
|
"I have been participating in the Ryjax class for over a year now. I consider myself to be a very athletic person. I am active 6 days a week and I'm always looking for ways to improve my overall health. Ryjax has taken my fitness to a whole new level. We do 45 minutes of spinning, followed by 45 minutes of power yoga. I love how challenging the class is, but I really love how Trish continually teaches us about the bigger picture. She has taught me so many things about fitness that I didn't know. Things like training your body in different ways for prolonged periods of time to advance your overall endurance. And how important it is to have active recovery, and rest days.
Another really cool thing about the class is that Trish is very aware of the different abilities of her clients, and she really caters to meet everyone's needs. I can get the total workout I'm looking for, and people who don't have as much experience with spinning and/or yoga get the workout that their body needs as well!
Ryjax is the best class I've ever taken. It is ever-changing and I love the workout I get, the awareness it brings me, and the overall vibe of the class. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to take their fitness to the next level!"

| Transformation |
|
“I have always had a lot of negative self talk going on in
my head. I tell myself that I am not good enough, I don't try enough, I don't
do enough. Yoga has quieted that voice. I have learned to accept myself, and
look for my strengths. I have
become stronger physically, mentally and spiritually. I have a strong, flexible
body that amazes me every time I practice. I am continually learning to stop
telling myself that I can't, and to listen the quiet voice that says TRY! Maybe I don't succeed the first, second
or third time, but I don't stop trying.
I have learned to be grateful, and live for the moment. Yoga has brought me an inner peace
while challenging my body. Thank
you, Trish, for being the thoughtful, considerate, gentle (and at the same
time, tough) guide for my journey. I feel safe in your care.”

| Cultivate a teachable spirit |
|
“Yoga is important to me because it keeps me in touch with
all aspects of my being: body, mind, and spirit. Yoga helps me go beyond my self imposed comfort zones not
just in class, but in my daily life as well. I have benefited by being put in touch with others who have
the same interests in overall life improvement. I have become less competitive
and more accepting of myself. I
don’t have to be perfect. Yoga has
brought out my weaknesses that keep me from growing in all aspects of my life.
I have learned that everyone is a teacher if I open myself to that thought
process.”

| Our beauty lies within |
|
“Through yoga, I feel I have become Super Woman. Yoga has
empowered me to believe that I am physically, emotionally, and spiritually
ready to take on the world, or anything else that comes at me. It has changed
my inner dialogue from "Oh, this sucks. This is hard...I can't deal with
this, I can't do this" to "What if I could? Wouldn't that be something?" Ultimately, yoga
has rocked my world, and I haven't been happier or more content since I started
practicing. Thanks, Trish!”

| Challenge yourself |
|
"The RYJAX program offered by Trish Washburn has got to be the truly most exhilarating workout "indoor gym" experience I have been privy to. Having been an avid outdoor athlete, runner, biking enthusiast all my life, I have always been somewhat reticent to participate in any form of indoor athletic activity - a necessary evil in the Midwest. Several years ago, as I began to experience increasing tightening of my muscles and kinks in my joints from my standard running and biking routine, I sought out yoga as a supplement to my regimine. Spiritually and physically, the benefits have long been lauded, but the full benefits were not realized for me until I found myself in Trish's studio immersed in her Vinyasa practice. The benefits of my weekly practice were immediate, in terms of spiritual cleansing and physical agility. The pairing of the weekly yoga practice with my regular weekly schedule of running and biking was an amazing complement. The pairing made perfect sense. And when Trish encouraged me to try her class pairing Spinning with yoga, being enamored with her yoga practice already and her incredible energy, I jumped, despite my aversion to indoor fitness classes. One session, I was hooked. The energy she creates in the room with the spinning, with phenomenal guidance, music, encouragement, paired with the winding down of her relaxing yet challenging poses is the most complete 90 minutes of physical activity I have yet to experience. It leaves me charged for an entire week. And the best part - Trish tailors the entire experience to all levels of fitness within one class, so you challenge YOURSELF to your own level at the time of participation. Only giving yourself room to grow. We all feel welcome, participatory and accomplished at the end of each session."

| Ground down to lift up |
|
“Yoga made me realize that I need the workout and also
that I can do it. I surprise many people when I tell them I do yoga. It keeps
me feeling good. So many times I think ‘Oh, no yoga tonight? Wouldn't just
staying home be nice?’ When I finish class I feel recharged and sleep soundly.
It was the best gift my kids could have given me. Also, having a great and
understanding teacher helps.”

“Yoga is a glorious combination of physical and spiritual
surgery every single time I attend one of Trish's classes. The physical aspects
have helped me with a severe back injury and the calming sureness
that Trish brings to every yoga class have helped me center my wild and
sometimes tired spirit. The studio, her positive energy, and the strength of
the practice of yoga have really been a great gift in my life.”
