Happy Hour Prana Flow

Had a stressful day at work? Come decompress after work with Happy Hour Prana Flow Yoga!

Prana Flow classes are done in the Shiva Rea style which means your practices are breath inspired journeys that offer a complete spectrum of rhythms from meditative and rejuvenating to the challenging and empowering. The wave of a class is created through cycles of effective and creative sequences (vinyasas) linked together through the breathwave.

Every class is well-rounded : following the mandala of the body and asanas - to create whole body transformation of strength and fluidity, circulation and centering.  Prana Flow cultivates the body through an integration of  standing poses, arm balances, twists, backbends, hip openers, forwards bends and inversions-- All chosen for their relationship to a peak asana, state of transformation (rasa) or particular exploration.

This high intensity groove to one's self (or sadhanas) provides a healthy alternative to the traditional 'Happy Hour' and hey, we give you 75-minutes of fun, fast-paced, creative movment and yoga set to great, rockin' music.  Come and kick up your heels (literally and figuratively) to celebrate the week behind you!

Community Practice.  Minimum $5 donation. Punch Cards not accepted.

Mellow Flow

Mellow Flow is a unique and beautiful blend of beginner and intermediate postures that will strengthen and tone the body, as well as soothe the mind and nourish the spirit.  The pace is energetic yet comfortable and at times restorative as we move through flow sequences that build confident alignment in essential yoga poses.

After gently awakening and warming the body, we progress to flowing sequences investigating the connection between breath, movement and the mind.  It is a place where the body can enjoy deep release and physical rejuvenation. Expect lots of deep stretching & lingering in yummy floor poses. Hands-on encouragement and assisting will help give you a deeper experience.  Progress in your yoga practice doesn’t always occur by “doing”. An equally important aspect of Yoga practice is the ability to let go, to not control, to experience what is without interfering. Meditation and relaxation techniques will also be introduced.

This class is sure to leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and renewed!

Community Practice.  Minimum $5 donation. Punch Cards not accepted.
Class offered: Mondays 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM.

Power Yoga

Power Yoga offers a challenging, high-energy practice that focuses on strength, endurance, and mental focus. It requires a solid connection to the breath, and concentrates on building heat in the body to enhance general health.

The main flow centers on the traditional Sun Salutation Series A and B of Ashtanga. These cycles of postures are designed to awaken and build a powerful level of energy in the body. Variations add different levels of intensity, interest and challenge to the practice, while still allowing newer yogis to work at their own safe level.

Perfect for those who crave a true physical challenge AND have a minimum of 4 months practicing Vinyasa or equivalent.

On-going.  Experience necessary.  Robust and vigorously paced. Inversions common.

Class offered: Thursdays 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa is the union of breath and movement; the transition when you exit one asana (pose) and start another. Vinyasa flow incorporates yoga postures in a fluid, flowing style (much like dance), designed to bring about inner connection and calm.

Focusing on the breath allows us to let go of tension, anxiety, and helps us to re-connect with our bodies on a more profound level. Vinyasa stretches, tones, and massages our bodies, while releasing trapped toxins in the tissues & increasing energy levels.

On-going.  All levels.  Moderately paced.  Some Inversions.
Class offered: Tuesdays 6:00-7:30 PM, Wednesdays 9:00-10:30 AM & 6:00-7:30 PM
